LENS (Low Energy Neurofeedback System) / Microcurrent Neurofeedback

What It Is

LENS is a passive neurofeedback method where a very low-intensity electromagnetic signal is mirrored back to your brain. It gently nudges brainwave patterns toward healthier states, without requiring active effort from the client.

How It Helps by Demographic

Abstract hands raised high, a symbol of community and growth.

Youth / Teens

Supports attention, emotional regulation, and reduces anxiety during growth and learning phases.

Athletes

Helps the brain recover from overtraining, improves focus under pressure, and supports reaction time.

Corporate / Professionals

Clears mental fog, enhances executive function, and reduces burnout.

Stress & Healing / Adults

Aids in stress regulation, mood stabilization, and resilience to life’s pressures.

Study Highlights

A clinical outcomes study of 100 patients (ages 6 to 80) showed significant improvements across 15 symptom areas (anxiety, mood, attention, sleep, pain), with average symptom scores dropping by ~50% after ~20 sessions.

Another study with medical students using randomized, double-blind LENS treatments vs sham showed improved stress, anxiety, and cognitive measures.

Vielight / Red Light Therapy (Photobiomodulation)

What It Is

Vielight devices use near-infrared and red light wavelengths to stimulate brain tissue. This photobiomodulation (PBM) is thought to increase mitochondrial activity, boost circulation, and support neural health.

How It Helps by Demographic

Youth / Teens

Supports cognitive development, memory, and brain energy balance.

Athletes

Accelerates recovery, reduces brain fatigue, and supports cellular repair.

Corporate / Professionals

Helps combat brain fatigue, improves clarity and energy during long workdays.

Stress & Healing / Adults

Assists in mood regulation, reduces inflammation, and supports recovery from chronic stress.

Study Highlights

A recent review of devices for brain photobiomodulation mentioned use of a Vielight® intranasal device for complementary PBM therapy in dementia trials.

While PBM is still being actively researched, early data supports its safety and potential in cognitive support.

Interactive Metronome (IM)

What It Is

Interactive Metronome training is a timing-based brain exercise where users respond to rhythm and pacing cues. It improves the brain’s timing and synchronization capacity, which regulates many cognitive and motor systems.

How It Helps by Demographic

Youth / Teens

Improves attention, processing speed, and coordination — helpful for learning and motor tasks.

Athletes

Enhances timing, reaction speed, motor coordination, and consistency under stress.

Corporate / Professionals

Sharpens mental timing, multitasking ability, and focus in fast work environments.

Stress & Healing / Adults

Reinforces brain-body integration, helps with cognitive fatigue, and supports neuroplastic recovery.

Study Highlights

A study was conducted at Michigan State University where IM training showed improvements in attention and reading skills in children with ADHD.

Participants underwent assessments including the IM assessment itself, the d2 Test of Attention, and the Nine Hole Peg Test (a fine motor dexterity test).
